So, a few of my friends have been asking me about running, training, clean eating and everything health related. Honestly, I don’t really have the answers to many of them because I’m just doing what I love doing. What I do suits me and my lifestyle and may not be suitable for everybody. Heck, it may not even be healthy. Pardon the French. But those questions did arouse my curiosity and I’m now starting to dig deeper into the science behind it all.
Since running is what I consider my forte, you’ll probably be seeing quite a bit of running related posts. I will also try to incorporate well researched (and packed with scientific jargon, but hopefully not too complex) information on other sports, FOOD (oh, I love food!) and maybe a bit of fashion.
Anyway, it all began 4-5 years ago, when I decided to put on my fashionable Nikes (not made for running) and go for a run. I can’t quite recall why I started running. All I knew was I never looked back. Since then, I would plunge out the door at least 4 times a week for my dose of adrenaline. For me, running was never miserable. I looked forward to all my evening runs. It was during those times when I could just break free and get lost in my own little world.
With running, it is a love-hate relationship. You either love it or hate it, nothing in between. If you’re thinking of starting your own running journey, I’m here to give you a little boost! So hop on, remember to pack lots of love, will power, determination, perseverance and enjoy the long and winding road! Are you ready?
You may have reached the finishing line, but the road never ends.
